UConn Campus Purchased for $1 MIllion by West Hartford

The University of Connecticut's West Hartford campus has been purchased by the town for $1 million.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - The University of Connecticut announced Wednesday the sale of its West Hartford campus to the town for $1 million, the Hartford Courant reported. The sale was unanimously approved by UConn’s Board of Trustees.

The Board’s approval comes one night after the West Hartford Town Council voted to purchase the 58-acre campus, according to the Hartford Courant. Town officials had previously gone through months of uncertainty and discussions about whether the purchase was affordable. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
