WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the West Hartford school system's more unique schools is hosting a special "back-to-school meet-and-greet" Tuesday, the day before classes begin and summer ends.

The Charter Oak International Academy, the school system's international and diversity-theme elementary school located at 425 Oakwood Ave., is hosting the event to give children and families the chance to see their new classrooms and meet their teachers in an informal setting.

It will take place between 2 and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the school, with visits for grades pre-K, 1 and 3 slated from 2 to 2:30 p.m. and visits for grades kindergarten, 2, 4 and 5 set for 2:30 to 3 p.m.
