University of Hartford Elevates Warren to Head Coach of Track and Field Team

Assistant Richard Warren, who previously coached with national power Ohio State, was promoted on Friday.

University of Hartford announced on their athletics page Friday that Assistant Track & Field Coach Richard Warren has been promoted to Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach.

Though he has only been with the University since 2015, he brings with him 10 years of college coaching experience. Four of those years were spent with national power Ohio State.

"In his time here, Richard has shown a great passion for helping our student-athletes succeed in every facet," said Director of Athletics Anton Goff in the release. “I'm excited to see what Richard can accomplish.”

Warren expressed gratitude for receiving the new position, as well as excitement to continue working alongside the student athletes and faculty.

“We will continue to excel in the classroom, improve athletically and produce a program Hawk Nation will be proud of,” Warren said in the release. “The needle is moving in the right direction."
