USJ Event To Look At Public Service In Today's Democracy

Amid a contentious election season, the West Hartford university is hosting a free lecture open to the public on the topic Tuesday evening.

WEST HARTFORD, CT—Many are concerned that democracy is at stake with this year's presidential election, so the University of Saint Joseph lecture on Tuesday might be of interest.

Dr. James Perry, an internationally recognized leader in public administration and the study of public management, will be the guest speaker at USJ's Deans’ Lecture Series on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

His lecture, “Walking the Moral Tightrope of Public Service” will speak to the inner workings of democracy and encourage public servants’ commitment to public duty without regard to partisan politics.
