Vito's Pizzaria in Top 50 for Pizza in Connecticut

We know our pizza is delicious, but now everybody else does, too.

In a recent edition of Hartford Magazine, Vito’s Pizzaria made the top 50 for pizza places in the state, coming in at No. 46.

Spencer Caldwell tried more than 60 pizza places for this survey and said that he “didn’t include any that I wouldn’t be happy to keep chowing down with a salad a couple of beers until I was full.”

Well, if delicious pizza and salad and cold beer is what you’re looking for, we can certainly help with that.

Caldwell looked at the style, technique, and quality of ingredients of a basic pizza. He said that meant that whenever possible, he ordered either a cheese pie or a margherita pie.

Here’s what he said about Vito’s Pizzaria.

“Our cheese pie from Vito’s, which also offers Chicago deep-dish stuffed pizzas, sported a medium crust, a nice not overly sweet sauce and a thick layer of bubbly cheese. Although our pizza leanings are thinner, we found the balance between cheese, sauce, and oil to be pretty close to ideal, making for a tasty pie. Try: Seafood supreme.”

We know we’re biased, but we agree with his assessment – and his recommendation.
