Webster House's Final 'Third Thursday' Coming Up
West Hartford's history museum to have the last 'Third Thursday Community Night' of the summer on Aug. 18.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the local area's final rites of summer will end later this week when The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society has its final Third Thursday Community Night of 2022.
The museum hosted family friendly "Community Nights" from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 16 and July 21, with the last one coming Thursday, Aug. 18.
Less than two weeks later, children return to classes in West Hartford on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

At the Third Thursday events, museum visitors can learn history and play games while enjoying grub from participating food and beverage trucks and shop from local vendors.
Colonial games and giant versions of games like Scrabble, Jenga, and Connect 4 will be out as well, according to the museum.

Food vendors expected Thursday include Hot Taco Street Kitchen; Nothing Bundt Cakes; Whimsically Tipsy; and Mama Nena.
Local businesses will also have items for purchase and information to share.
Each community night will feature a different mini tour or historic highlight.
For the final event of 2022, folks can learn about the land on which the Noah Webster House stands.
In 1636, the Sicaog deeded the land “from the Great River on the East the whole breadth to run into the Wilderness towards the West full Six Miles.”
The fee for Third Thursday events is $5 per person. Free for members and kids 5 and under. Maximum $20 for a family.
