WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford officials were planning a celebration of the Rockledge Golf Club's centennial milestone on Friday, but on Thursday they opted to cancel the event.
Citing "busier-than-expected back-to-school schedules," event organizers and town staff opted to cancel the event.

The town said full refunds will be issued to those who purchased tickets in advance.
The event was to feature hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music, and dancing by Lonesome Eddie and the Bird Dogs.

Tickets were $100 per person and proceeds were supposed to benefit the West Hartford Department of Leisure Services Scholarship Fund.
