WeHa's Town Clerk Sworn In To Term Of His Own

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The guardian of the Town of West Hartford's vital records was officially sworn into his first full term at West Hartford Town Hall Tuesday.

Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz was on hand to issue the oath of office to West Hartford Town Clerk Leon Davidoff on Tuesday.

Davidoff, a Democrat and former town councilman, was appointed in January 2023 to finish the term of the retiring Essie Labrot.

But he earned a term of his own by running unopposed and being elected last November.

West Hartford, which was incorporated in 1854, has only had 10 town clerks in its history, making for an average tenure of 17 years for every town clerk.

Also on hand for the ceremony were the town clerk's office staff, which included Tiana Pelletier, Carol Foley, Nadia Khan, and Louise Psaras. Also on staff is Sylvia Urbanski.
