What: A welcome home ceremony for Vietnam Vets
When: 1 pm March 30th
Where: State Capitol Building 210 Capitol Ave
Where Can I Park? Parking will be available in the Legislative Office Building at 300 Capitol Ave.
On Friday, March 30th at 1pm, the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs will be honoring Vietnam veterans with a Welcome Home Ceremony in the Capitol’s Hall of Flags. All are invited to attend.

The original sponsor of the legislation, former State Representative and Vietnam veteran Ted Graziani, will host the event. Veterans and family will tell their stories, and state leaders will offer thanks. The event will last one hour.

Vietnam war Protest, May 6, 1970: One of the most shameful chapters in recent American history is the manner in which our Vietnam veterans were ignored and abused after their service and sacrifice. In 2010 the General Assembly passed a law designating a day to give our Vietnam veterans the welcome home they earned, but never received.
