West Hartford accepting NAA Tax Credit Applications

West Hartford invites NAA program proposals, with businesses able to earn up to 100% tax credits for eligible investments.

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Applications are open through April 24 for the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Tax Credit Program, which supports local initiatives through corporate business tax credits tied to charitable contributions.

The program allows businesses to receive tax credits in exchange for cash investments in approved community programs operated by municipalities and tax-exempt organizations.

All proposals must be approved by both the Town of West Hartford and the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services before qualifying.

Under the program, businesses can receive a 100% tax credit for investments in energy conservation projects and comprehensive college access loan forgiveness programs.

A 60% tax credit is available for contributions supporting a broader range of services, including neighborhood assistance, job training, education, crime prevention, and community services.

Eligible uses also include construction or rehabilitation of housing for low- and moderate-income families, funding for open space acquisition, child care services, and community-based alcoholism prevention or treatment programs.

Town officials said completed applications must be submitted using the 2026 NAA-01 form. Paper copies are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 24, and should be delivered to:
