West Hartford Is All-In for 'Earth Day' On Saturday
The town is hosting an Earth Day Family Festival at Blue Back Square Saturday afternoon.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A celebration of both the local community and the entire planet will take place this Saturday in West Hartford.
The Earth Day Family Festival is slated for Saturday, April 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at Blue Back Square, 65 Memorial Road, West Hartford.

It will feature free face painting, educational booths, and sustainable vendors and products. The rain date is Sunday, April 21.
In addition, West Hartford Deputy Mayor Ben Wenograd will speak about the town's new pollinator-friendly community resolution at 12:30 pm.

The resolution, which was adopted unanimously by the West Hartford Town Council April 9, designates West Hartford as "a pollinator-friendly community."
"It recognizes the vital role of bees and other pollinators in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and aims to address the decline in pollinator populations due to various factors such as habitat loss, pesticide use, and land development," wrote the town in an announcement.
