West Hartford Announces Holiday Town/School Closures
Friday, April 7, is Good Friday, with town facilities and schools impacted.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Town officials Thursday announced various municipal impacts during Friday's Good Friday holiday.
Municipal facilities, including West Hartford Town Hall, libraries, the community center and senior centers are closed on Friday, April 7, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.

Trash collection, however, will remain on schedule with no delay.
The public libraries are open on Saturday, April 8, but will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 9.

The Yard Waste & Recycling Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (annual permit required to dispose of items).
Saturday hours resume April 8, 7 a.m. to noon.
The Public Works office at 17 Brixton St. will be open on Friday, April 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the purchase of new 2023-24 yard waste permits.
West Hartford Public Schools will be closed from Friday, April 7, through Friday, April 14, for the spring break. Classes resume Monday, April 17.
Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will hold a public skating session on Friday, April 7, from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. and DJ Skate from 7:10 to 8:30 p.m. Click here to learn more.

Westmoor Park farm hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and park trails and grounds hours are open 8 a.m. to dusk.
