West Hartford Announces July 4 Holiday Impacts
The upcoming holiday will impact both municipal operations and trash/recycling collection.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local officials this week announced the impacts the July 4 holiday will have on municipal services.
Municipal facilities, including West Hartford Town Hall, libraries, community centers, senior centers, the West Hartford Yard Waste & Recycling Center and camp programs are closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Due to the July 4 holiday, trash, “B” week recycle, yard waste, metal and bulky collections during the week of July 3-8 will be one day late after the Tuesday holiday.
Monday’s collections will remain on schedule, but Tuesday’s collection will be done on Wednesday and Wednesday’s collection on Thursday with each remaining day of the week being one day later than normal.
