West Hartford-Based College To Celebrate Indigenous Cultures

The free evening of Indigenous music and dance will be at the University of Hartford on Monday, Feb. 17.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The local community is invited to visit a local university on Monday to celebrate Native American culture, dance, and music.

The University of Hartford, whose campus is partially located in West Hartford, is hosting a free program called "Indigenous Dance & Music" on Monday, Feb. 17, fro, 5 to 6 p.m.

The celebration will be at UHart's Gengras Student Union Dining Hall, 200 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford.

"Join us for an evening of Indigenous dance and music at the University of Hartford, featuring local Indigenous dancers performing live Indigenous music," wrote event organizers.

"Discover the cultural significance of Indigenous dance and music as tools for healing and entertainment."
