West Hartford 'Burger Bash' To Determine Best Local Burger, Help The Hungry

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Burgers, live entertainment, and a competition among local restaurants will take over Blue Back Square Thursday as the shopping and dining district hosts its fourth annual Blue Back Burger Bash.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Isham Road, with organizers expecting more than 1,000 people to attend.

Participating restaurants will prepare signature sliders for visitors to sample before voting for the People's Choice Best Burger.

The lineup includes Boqueria, World of Beer, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, Coracora and Fat Duck Tavern, along with Artisan Restaurant at the Delamar West Hartford.

Frisbie's and Playa Bowls will also be on site offering samples.

Celebrity judges will select a Best Overall Burger, while attendees can cast ballots for the People's Choice award.

Those who vote will be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card to a restaurant of their choice, organizers said.

In addition to the food competition, the event will feature free music, entertainment, and children's activities.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Connecticut Foodshare, which works to address hunger across the state.

Tickets will be available at the event.

Organizers said Isham Road will be closed for the Burger Bash, with parking available in the Lexicon and Memorial garages.
