Children ages 8-12 will step back in time to experience the games, fun and chores of colonial times.

Children will help to cook their lunches over an open hearth, explore Noah Webster’s house and garden, work on crafts and play games.

This camp is run in conjunction with Westmoor Park, where campers will spend two days getting their hands dirty and encountering life on a farm by caring for the barnyard animals, tending the vegetable garden and creating food and crafts from the natural resources of the park.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday camp is held at the Noah Webster House, 227 S. Main St., West Hartford and Tuesday and Thursday camp is held at Westmoor Park, 119 Flagg Road, West Hartford.

Colonial Child Adventure Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Extended hours are available. Week 1 is July 10-14 and Week 2 is July 24-28. Each session is $310, $285 for museum members.
