West Hartford Company Closes Suddenly: Report
Some customers said they were left with unfinished projects and out thousands of dollars when the business closed without warning.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford Fence Company suddenly closed last week and some of its customers were left with unfinished projects and out thousands of dollars, according to NBC Connecticut.
One customer, Elithea Mas, told NBC Connecticut that she hired West Hartford Fence Company to put up a 6-foot cedar barrier around her property in preparation for a puppy that was coming. She paid a 40 percent ($4,500) deposit in March but the project never materialized. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
West Hartford Fence Company owner Stephen Gifford told NBC Connecticut that he had to close the business last week and will be contacting customers to “make them whole in the next few days.”
