West Hartford Doctor Honored for Promoting Lung Cancer Screening Awareness
Dr. Andrew Salner was honored for the New York Times opinion piece, "A Cancer Battle We Can Win."

West Hartford resident Andrew Salner, M.D., medical director of the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital, received the “2014 Special Recognition Award/Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Award” on July 22.
Dr. Salner was recognized along with Andrea McKee, M.D. chair of Radiation Oncology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, for their work in bringing awareness to lung cancer screening in the U.S. They were honored for their opinion piece published in the New York Times, ‘A Cancer Battle We Can Win.’
