West Hartford Dog Park Coalition Identifies Potential New Site
The group will discuss the latest proposal at an upcoming meeting.

Despite being rejected numerous times in its attempts to build a dog park in West Hartford, the doggedly determined dog park coalition has continued to search for a suitable site and will discuss its latest proposal at an upcoming meeting.
The Hartford Courant reports the group has identified a potential location on a parcel of town-owned land on Avon Mountain.
They will discuss the proposed site, which is off a gravel access road on Route 44, at a meeting on Sept. 30, according to the Courant.

The 7-acre town-owned parcel is currently used as a dump site for dirt and rocks taken from excavation projects and Public Works Director John Phillips told the Courant the site could co-exist with a dog park.
