West Hartford Election Overview 2019 - Town Council, School Board
A brief look at the candidates for town council and Board of Education seats in West Hartford, plus a sample ballot.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Municipal elections around the country are just under three weeks away, and the ballot in West Hartford contains a full slate of candidates for town council and Board of Education.
Mayor Shari Cantor and Deputy Mayor Beth Kerrigan are among five incumbent Democrats seeking re-election to the town council. Democratic Board of Education chair Carol Blanks is also seeking a council seat. On the Republican side, incumbents Mary Fay and Chris Williams are joined on the ballot by challengers Lee Gold, Rick Bush and Al Cortes. Janee Patrice Woods-Weber is also seeking a council seat on behalf of the Working Families party.
Candidates for full term spots on the Board of Education are incumbent Republican Mark Zydanowicz, and Democratic challengers Ari Steinberg and Sean Passan.
