WEST HARTFORD, CT — The deadline for folks to register for an Oct. 1 community workshop aimed at tackling ageism and ableism in the community is fast approaching.
Monday, Sept. 16, is the last day for registration for what is being called a "Daring Dialogue" with the Connecticut Age Well Collaborative.
"We will explore how ageism and ableism impact our lives and community. We’ll raise awareness, identify bias, and build relationships to spark momentum for change," wrote event organizers in an announcement.

"This free workshop will unite community members and local leaders to explore and challenge assumptions about aging and disability," wrote event organizers.
"Come learn with others who care about creating a more inclusive community and set the stage for future action. We invite you to share your experience.
"Daring Dialogues are not public forums or town halls," wrote organizers. "They are not designed for community members to voice complaints and concerns to government officials. They are a space for collective discovery and growth toward positive change."
