West Hartford Firefighters Swarm Laundromat Fire

No one was hurt and West Hartford firefighters were able to extinguish the dryer blaze quickly.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Fire Department quickly swarmed a local laundromat Thursday when one of the facility's dryers caught fire.

According to the Facebook site of West Hartford Firefighters Local 1241, firefighters were called to a "structure alarm" at a Super Saver Laundromat in town "for reports of a dryer on fire."

Ultimately, firefighters were able to "quickly and effectively ... extinguish the fire to its origin."

In the end, it was the best possible scenario at the laundromat, which is located at 983 New Britain Ave.

"No one was hurt and further damage was prevented due to our swift response," the firefighters union posted.
