West Hartford Firefighters Union Has New Leader
In addition, the West Hartford Fire Department has two new probationary members within its ranks.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's bravest this week has announced a leadership change atop the union representing West Hartford firefighters, as well as the addition of two newcomers.
West Hartford Fire Fighters Local 1241 said Sean Howard was elected union president to represent West Hartford Fire Department firefighters in union negotiations and other matters.
Howard succeeds former union chief Michael Boivin.

"Special thanks to Michael Boivin for his time and dedication to the local and executive board as president," wrote the union.
Meanwhile, the WHFD union also announced that Shelby Mitchell and Casey Farrell are probationary firefighters undergoing further training to serve West Hartford.
