Who Should Lead West Hartford Schools? BoE Wants To Know
The West Hartford Board of Education Monday, Dec. 12, is hosting a public forum to discuss what it wants to see in a school superintendent.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Perhaps the single biggest task a school board can undertake is choosing a new superintendent of schools to run a school system.
That's why school officials are hoping for a good public turnout Monday night for a community focus group aimed at identifying what West Hartford wants in a school chief.
The focus group will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. in the West Hartford Town Hall auditorium, 50 S. Main St.

School officials have been working with Cooperative Education Services (CES) out of Trumbull, a consultant that helps school districts with issues such as personnel decisions.
West Hartford schools are currently being led by veteran administrator Andrew Morrow, who is the interim superintendent.
The search is for a permanent replacement to fill the role last occupied by Tom Moore, who left the district in June for a top educational administrative role in the Chicago area.
