West Hartford Funding On Bond Commission Agenda
High school sports and capital improvement projects in West Hartford could be granted state funding Thursday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Money earmarked for athletic facilities improvements at Conard and Hall high schools in West Hartford is on Thursday's State Bond Commission agenda.
The total is $3 million.
Also on the agenda is a potential $435,000 for West Hartford via the state's Local Capital Improvement Program.

LoCIP distributes "formula-based entitlement funds" to cities and towns in the state as reimbursement for capital improvement projects like road and bridge replacements and improvements or "public building construction activities."
The State Bond Commission is a 10-member body that is empowered under the Connecticut General Statutes to allocate bond funds to finance specific projects and purposes. The State Bond Commission is made up of the governor, three state constitutional officers, four state legislators and two state agency heads.
