West Hartford: Get A Shot, Take A Swim
Local health district is offering children free town pool passes for first-time COVID-19 vaccinations.
WEST HARTFORD/BLOOMFIELD, CT — Get shot, take a swim.
That's what children served by the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District can do as part of the district's summer vaccination push.
And, for children aged 5 and up, the district is offering free pool passes for both the West Hartford and Bloomfield parks and recreation departments for a first COVID-19 vaccine.

Covid-19, though its impact has lessened the past two years since the pandemic first started ravaging the planet, is still present and, if unvaccinated, people can still suffer the worst consequences of the disease.
On Thursdays, the health district hosts vaccination clinics from noon to 7 p.m. for children aged 5 and up.

The clinics will be by appointment only at the district's 580 Cottage Grove Road, Suite 100, headquarters in Bloomfield.
The free pool passes, which are available while supplies last, will allow children to swim at town public pools.
Participants just need to bring their insurance cards, a drivers license for an ID and a vaccine card, if applicable.
In addition, on Wednesdays, the district hosts by-appointment, vaccine clinics for school-required vaccinations from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
