West Hartford Girl, 15, Reported Missing

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are looking for a 15-year-old girl from West Hartford described as an "endangered runaway," according to a Silver Alert Wednesday morning.

According to the alert, sent out at 6:50 a.m., West Hartford police are looking for Kandace Gawel, 15, who is described as a white female with red hair and eyes of an "unknown" color.

Police said she stands 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds.

No photo is available of her, but she was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, green shirt and gray sweatpants, according to the alert. Gawel has been missing since Tuesday, police said.
