The furry, buck-toothed mammal calls the museum's animal sanctuary home and can be seen during museum hours.

Museum officials announced the young groundhog's arrival from a Connecticut animal rescue organization on Tuesday.

The yet-to-be-named critter was injured in the wild and can no longer live outside captivity.

"This little lady is settling in and getting ready for an exciting Groundhog Day celebration. But there's one thing missing—a name," wrote the museum on social media.

" We’re thinking about names that capture the essence of spring, reflecting our hope for its early arrival and our groundhog's love for the vibrant flowers that signal the season’s arrival."
