West Hartford High Schools Unveil New Logos
Conard and Hall will open the school year with new logos that removed the Native American imagery.

West Hartford’s public high schools Conard and Hall will open the new school year with new logos that remove the Native American imagery.
The board of education recommended the move after series of meeting on the issue, which had been debated for years but came to a head in the fall when students at a soccer game between the rival schools began yelling anti-Semitic chants, according to the Hartford Courant.
While the logos have changed, the sports teams will continue be known as the Chieftains and Warriors.
