West Hartford Hiking Trail Closed Indefinitely
The town announced the closure of the popular hiking trail on Tuesday, citing an excessive buildup of snow and ice.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — In December, the town closed its golf courses for the winter as far as golf is concerned.
And on Tuesday, West Hartford officials announced that one golf course's trails are now closed until further notice.
According to an announcement, the trails at Rockledge Golf Course, 289 S. Main St., are closed to hikers due to safety concerns associated with the recent snow and ice buildup.

The town classified the trail conditions as being "extremely slippery."
Normally, the town's winter trails at the golf courses are still available for jogging, walking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

For now, it doesn't appear that trails at the Buena Vista Golf Course, 37 Buena Vista Road, are closed.
