West Hartford To Host Multiple Budget Forums/Hearings Starting Next Week
West Hartford Town Manager Rick Ledwith and West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Paul Vicinus will present budget overviews.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Officials in West Hartford will host a series of public conversations in March to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget and gather questions from residents about municipal and education spending.
The first such forum is Monday, March 16.
West Hartford Town Manager Rick Ledwith and West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Paul Vicinus will present an overview of the proposed budget before opening the floor for questions from the public.

The discussions will cover both town services and the public school budget.
Several elected officials are expected to attend, including Mayor Shari Cantor, Deputy Mayor Deb Polun, West Hartford Board of Education Chairperson Shannon Marimón, and School Board Vice Chair LaToya Yagaloff.

Community conversation dates
Residents can attend one of three scheduled sessions:
- Monday, March 16, 2–4 p.m. at Bishop's Corner Senior Center, 15 Starkel Road.
- Wednesday, March 18, 6–8 p.m. at Faxon Branch Library, 1073 New Britain Avenue.
- Monday, March 23, 6–8 p.m. at Noah Webster Library, 20 S. Main St.
Officials said the sessions will begin with a short presentation outlining the proposed FY2027 budget, followed by a question-and-answer period.
Formal public hearings
In addition to the community conversations, formal budget public hearings are scheduled for:
- Thursday, March 19, at 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m.
Both hearings will take place in Room 314 at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St., West Hartford.
Budget information
Details about the proposed FY2027 budget will be made available following the town manager’s presentation, including materials for both the municipal budget and the Board of Education budget.
