While patrons looking to jump into the water can do so, those looking to slide on top of it in its frozen state must wait. That's because the <a href="https://www.westhartfordct.gov/town-departments/leisure-services/skating-rink" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Veterans Memorial Skating Rink</a> is closed for maintenance as of Aug. 27 and it will remain shuttered until Saturday, Sept. 9.
