West Hartford Labor Day Impacts Announced

In addition to building closures, town trash services are also affected by the holiday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Summer's unofficial close is coming up this weekend in the form of the three-day Labor Day holiday.

As a result, town officials this week announced how operations will be impacted next week, including trash collection and municipal buildings.

Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 4, the following collections will be one day late after the holiday: Trash; “A” week recycle ; and “A” week yard waste, bulk and metal collections.

Monday’s collections will be done on Tuesday, while Tuesday’s collections will be done on Wednesday, with each remaining day for the week of Sept. 4 through Sept. 8 being one day later.

Holiday closings

Monday will see various town facilities closed for the holiday, including West Hartford Town Hall, public schools, the community center, senior centers, libraries and the West Hartford Yard Waste & Recycling Center.
