West Hartford Lawmakers To Fill Folks In On Legislative Session
West Hartford's state lawmakers will host a forum this week to discuss legislative session highlights and answer residents' questions.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from their state lawmakers and ask questions about the recently concluded legislative session during a public forum on Wednesday, June 17.
Local state representatives and a state senator will host a post-session legislative forum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the West Hartford Public Library's Faxon Library community room, 1073 New Britain Ave.
According to event organizers, lawmakers will provide a summary of key legislation and policy developments from the 2026 session before opening the discussion to questions from community members.

Participating legislators are expected to include State Sen. Derek Slap, D-West Hartford, and state representatives Kate Farrar, Jillian Gilchrest, Tammy Exum, James Sánchez and Bobby Gibson.
Organizers said the event is intended to help residents stay informed about actions taken during the legislative session and provide an opportunity for direct engagement with elected officials.
