West Hartford Man Charged With DUI For Crash That Injured Kids

The man is accused of leaving the scene of a crash that injured two children.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford man was arrested after state police say he was driving under the influence when he crashed into another vehicle on I-84 East in Hartford on Wednesday night and left the scene, according to NBC Connecticut. Two children were injured in the crash and taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

NBC Connecticut reports Jason Hayes, 37, was found a short distance from the crash scene and was arrested. No additional information was released on the children’s condition, according to NBC. To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
