West Hartford Man Discusses Monkeypox Experience

He told a state television station his symptoms have subsided a bit, but having it was difficult.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A 37-year-old West Hartford man has discussed his monkeypox experience with a television station this week.

According to NBC Connecticut Channel 30, the man is identified as local resident Johnny Rivera, who said he has battled symptoms in recent days ranging from fever, a rash, swollen lymph nodes to a runny nose

He told NBC Connecticut he is getting better.

According to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Connecticut has had 15 total cases of what world health officials declare is a growing problem worldwide.
