West Hartford Man Making a Run at the White House

A West Hartford man has thrown his hat into the ring for a run at the White House.

Mark Stewart was the first presidential candidate to file paperwork to run in the New Hampshire Primary on Wednesday, according to NECN.com.

NECN reports that in addition to the high-profile candidates, the New Hampshire Primary traditionally attracts not-so-well-known names and had as many as 61 candidates run back in 1992.

Stewart, whose full name is Mark Stewart Greenstein, described himself to NECN as a “liberty-leaning Democrat” and said he is an “IED — an increasingly embarrassed Democrat” and wants to reduce the power of union leaders, reduce the income tax, and reduce illegal immigration.

Stewart also plans to run in the South Carolina Primary, according to NECN.
