West Hartford Marks Several Employee Milestones

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town recently honored nearly 100 employees who have served West Hartford residents over the years, including one who celebrated 40 years in town.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, West Hartford Town Manager Rick Ledwith and West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor recognized 94 employees for their service to the Town of West Hartford.

Employee anniversaries ranged from five years to 40 years.

In 2024, the town welcomed 314 new employees, including 42 full-time, 19 part-time, 184 seasonal, and 69 election workers.

Meanwhile, 12T employees retired this year.

Leading the employee anniversaries this year was West Hartford Public Library Children's Librarian Carol Waxman, who marked 40 years of service as children's librarian there.

Other employees celebrated 35 years, 30 years, 25 years and 20 years working in West Hartford.
