West Hartford Ministry Hosting Film Screening On Immigration Enforcement

The event will take place at a local retreat center in West Hartford this week, with the documentary focusing on the hot-button issue.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — With immigration law enforcement a divisive issue during these times politically, a local ministry is hosting a special documentary on the topic.

The JustFaith Social Justice Ministry at Holy Family Retreat Center will host a screening of the documentary "Borderland: The Line Within" on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in West Hartford.

The 2024 film, directed by veteran filmmaker Pamela Yates, examines the business of immigration enforcement and its human impact, according to organizers.

The screening will take place in the main conference room at Holy Family Retreat Center, 303 Tunxis Road, West Hartford.

A facilitated discussion and refreshments are scheduled to follow the film.

Admission is free, though organizers will accept voluntary donations to benefit Hartford Deportation Defense.
