West Hartford Election 2017 Results: Vote Totals For All Races

Residents voted on several local positions in Tuesday's municipal election. Here are the vote totals for all races.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Democrats dominated in Tuesday’s municipal election, maintaining the party’s six seats on the Town Council and winning three seats on the Board of Education. Mayor Shari Cantor was the top vote-getter for the Town Council with 8,996 votes, according to totals from the Secretary of State’s Office.

Democrat Beth Kerrigan received 8,026 votes and was followed by Leon S. Davidoff (D) with 7,840 votes, Liam B. Sweeney (D) with 7,504 votes, Ben Wenograd (D) with 7,369 votes, and Dallas Dodge (D) with 7,182 votes.

Chris Barnes led the Republican council candidates with 4,825 votes and was followed by Mary M. Fay with 4,666 votes, Chris Williams with 4,532 votes, Julie Krug with 4,392 votes and Ryan S. Langan with 4,287 votes. Barnes, Fay and Williams won seats on the council.

For the Board of Education, Democrat Cheryl Greenberg was the top vote-getter with 8,484 votes and was followed by Deb Polun (D) with 8,001 votes, Lorna Thomas-Farquharson (D) with 7,578 votes, Robert Levine (R) with 4,754 votes and Jay Sarzen (R) with 4,443 votes. All three Democrats and Levin won seats on the school board.
