West Hartford Musicians To Host Major Musical Event This Weekend

West Hartford Symphony Orchestra's annual spring concert is Sunday, March 29, with works by Hanson, Sibelius, and Verdi.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra will present its Spring Classical Concert on Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at Northwest Catholic High School, 29 Wampanoag Drive.

The program features a range of orchestral works, including Howard Hanson’s Symphony No. 2 “Romantic”, Jean Sibelius’ Finlandia, and Giuseppe Verdi’s “Va Pensiero” from Nabucco.

The concert will also include Alexander Borodin’s Eine Steppenskizze and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Procession of the Nobles.

Tickets are priced at $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students. Admission is free for children under 12.

Organizers said tickets are available for purchase online, and community members who cannot attend may contribute through a donation option to support the orchestra’s programming.
