West Hartford Nursing Home Fined for Medication Error
The nursing home was one of four in the state to recently be cited by the state Department of Public Health for various incidents.

West Hartford, CT — The Reservoir in West Hartford was one of four nursing homes recently fined by the state Department of Public Health for various incidents.
Kate Farrish of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports that The Reservoir was fined a combined $1,275 for incidents that occurred in May 2015 and September 2015.

In the most recent incident, the nursing home was fined $540 after a newly admitted resident missed 22 doses of an anti-coagulant medication, according to Farrish.
The other incident involved a resident who became agitated and refused to go to an emergency room and later called 911 and claimed to be in danger, Farrish reports.
