West Hartford Offers E-Waste Collections for Residents

West Hartford residents can now drop off their unwanted electronics at the Yard Waste and Recycling Center on Brixton Street.

Take 2 Inc., a Connecticut-based recycling company, is now providing a container at the center for residents.

Residents can now bring their old computers, monitors, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, PDAs, copiers, microwaves, telephones, and other small appliances to Recycling Center for recycling.

Items not accepted under the residential electronics recycling program include smoke detectors, hazardous materials and liquids, and air conditioners.

A Day Pass or an Annual Recycling Permit is necessary for drop-off. Proof of residency is required.
