West Hartford Officer’s Promotion Challenged Due to Suspension Involving Marijuana: Report
An officer's promotion is being challenged due to him leaving marijuana unsecured, which resulted in his suspension last year.

WEST HARTFORD, CT – A situation involving a promoted officer, four pounds of marijuana and his suspension has recently come to light, as reported by the Hartford Courant.
An officer’s recent promotion is being challenged by two police sergeants, the Hartford Courant reported. The two have cited the officer’s 2015 suspension stemming from his leaving four pounds of marijuana unattended.
The incident prompted an internal affairs investigation, which was closed last year, according to the Hartford Courant. The officer was suspended for five days as a result of the investigation.
