WEST HARTFORD, CT — It's been a difficult week for the West Hartford Police Department, which has had to investigate three serious car-vs.-pedestrian accidents, two of them fatal ones.

As a result, the department Friday urged that folks make safety a top priority this holiday weekend, one coming on the heals of a nasty wind/rain storm and, then, bone-chilling temperatures.

"The West Hartford Police Department would like to remind everyone to prioritize safety and security during the holidays," wrote the WHPD Friday afternoon.
