Unity Between Faith And Law Enforcement Celebrated In WH

Sunday's celebration was part of 'National Faith & Blue Weekend.'

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Police Department was well represented over the weekend at a special event locally celebrating a national movement uniting police and faith.

Sunday, Oct. 9, several WHPD members visited Beth El Temple in West Hartford for its celebration of "National Faith & Blue Weekend."

"The mission of Faith and Blue is to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships among police, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations," wrote the WHPD on social media.

The department's drone aviation unit, K-9 unit, animal control division, community relations division and patrol division all participated in various activities and demonstrations with guests.
