West Hartford Police Charge Three with Home Invasion at University of Hartford

The three men forcibly entered a student's dorm room early Tuesday morning.

Three men face home invasion charges after forcing their way into a student’s dorm room at the University of Hartford early Tuesday morning.

The victim reported to West Hartford police that he was threatened at gunpoint by one of the men but was able to push the gunman and the two accomplices out of the room and shut the door, according to the incident report.

The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Police have arrested Stephane Idohou, 20, Tyrone Davis, 19, and William Wood, 21, in connection with the case.

The Hartford Courant reports Idohou and Davis are students at the University of Hartford but Wood is not.

After pushing the men out of the room, the victim checked the hallway about 5 minutes later and after not seeing anything, he went back to sleep because he had a final exam at 8 a.m., according to the Courant.

After he took the exam, the student reported the incident to campus security and West Hartford police were alerted on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that a small black BB gun was recovered at Wood’s current residence.

Idohou was arrested on charges of home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, first-degree threatening, conspiracy to commit first-degree threatening, criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, breach of peace, and conspiracy to commit breach of peace. He was held on a $250,000 bond.

Davis was charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, first-degree threatening, conspiracy to commit first-degree threatening, breach of peace and conspiracy to commit breach of peace. He was held on a $250,000 bond.

Wood was charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, first-degree threatening, conspiracy to commit first-degree threatening, breach of peace, conspiracy to commit breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on a $250,000 bond.
