West Hartford Police Charge Two with Stealing Vehicle
One of the men was carrying a gun and police are looking for two more suspects who got away, including one who dropped a gun while fleeing.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford Police charged two 19 year olds from Hartford in connection to a stolen vehicle and are looking for two more suspects who got away.
Officers responded to Kirkwood Road around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 on a report of a stolen Honda Pilot.
Two detectives were in the Albany Avenue when they noticed a black Ford Explorer that had been stolen out of West Hartford two days earlier heading west.

The detectives followed the vehicle while calling for additional units, according to a police report.
The driver realized he was being followed, pulled onto Edgewood Street and fled. Police said a passenger also fled and a handgun fell to the ground as the two ran.

Two additional suspects in the car were taken into custody. One of these passengers, Jahkari Williams, was carrying a handgun, according to police.
Hartford Police attempted a track for the other two suspects with a K-9 but they weren’t located.
Williams, 19, of 60 Van Block Avenue, Hartford, was arrested on charges of carrying a pistol/handgun without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, and first-degree larceny. He was held on a $250,000 surety bond and was due in court on Dec. 7.
Jayzon Myers, 19, of 98 Branford Street, Hartford, was arrested on a charge of first-degree larceny. He was held on a $10,000 surety bond and is due in court Dec. 17.
Police are continuing the investigation.
