West Hartford Police Promote 5, Reassign 2 Others
The promotions were made official during a ceremony Thursday at Town Hall.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Five members of the West Hartford Police Department were promoted and two others received new assignments during a ceremony Thursday at Town Hall.
The promoted officers are:
- Sergeant Aaron Vafiades to Lieutenant, assigned to Patrol “A” Squad.
- Sergeant Dan Moffo to Lieutenant, assigned to Patrol “B” Squad.
- Officer Ed Jacovino to Sergeant, assigned to Patrol “A” Squad.
- Officer David Michael to Sergeant, assigned to Patrol “B” Squad.
- Officer Brandon Dudzinski to Detective, assigned to the Community Support Unit.
Two lieutenants have received new assignments: Peter Juda is now assigned to Patrol "C" Squad, and Lt. Joe Creaco is now assigned to the Traffic Division. Those new roles take effect Aug. 5.
