WHPD: Stuff A Cruiser, Save Holidays For Some
West Hartford police are conducting several "Stuff a Cruiser" events all month long so generous people can help those in need.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — While local police want folks to donate toys and other items for various good causes, this holiday season, they probably don't want them to just dump stuff in their police vehicles whenever they see one.
But, the WHPD said, there will be plenty of opportunities to do just that this holiday season, starting on Thursday, Dec. 1.
West Hartford police are conducting several "Stuff a Cruiser" events all month long so generous people can give what they can to help those who could use a hand up this Christmas seasons.

All donations will go to West Hartford families in need, police said.
Items sought include unwrapped toys, donations, gift cards, books, new clothing items (from infants to adolescent sizes), age-appropriate movies and games.

Police, however, ask that benefactors not donate anything with sharp edges or easily breakable parts or toy weapons of any kind.
As for when stuff can be stuffed inside a police cruiser, "Stuff a Cruiser" events will take place on the following dates and locations:
• Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Toy Chest, 975 Farmington Ave., during the Holiday Stroll from 4 to 8 p.m.
• Thursday, Dec. 8, at Target, 333 N. Main St., West Hartford, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 9, at Target, 333 N. Main St., West Hartford, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 16, at Target, 333 N. Main St., West Hartford, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
